How to care for your berry plants
Blackberries and raspberries are the perfect fruits for summer desserts or delicious smoothies. Even though your plants are undemanding and easy to care for, you should still follow a few care tips to ensure you can enjoy the aromatic fruits for a long time. Both plants can be planted in the garden or kept in containers. They also thrive in a sunny to partially shaded location. In spring, you should fertilize both raspberries and blackberries with a general-purpose fertilizer. The only thing to pay attention to is the soil. While your blackberry doesn't need any special soil and thrives in normal garden soil, raspberries require fresh, moist, loamy-humus soil. For both plants, use a general-purpose potting mix in containers. With good drainage, both plants will reward you with healthy growth and a bountiful harvest! Your blackberry will then provide you with large, glossy black, juicy, and soft berries with an aromatic, tart flavor. Your raspberry bush will then reward you from August onwards with numerous red, exceptionally sweet, fruity berries.
