How to care for your Hydrangea macrophylla
The mophead hydrangea is a gardener's dream – robust, easy to care for, winter-hardy – and a beautiful eye-catcher with huge, ball-shaped flower heads. To ensure it thrives in your garden or on your patio, plant it in a bright to partially shaded spot, ideally in a bed with hydrangea or rhododendron potting mix. The King Size garden hydrangea also flourishes as a container plant. Hydrangeas look particularly good planted in rows or groups, but they also make beautiful specimen plants. They are undemanding: for the first three to four weeks after planting, water them two to three times a week. Prune them once a year. In mid-May, add some hydrangea fertilizer to the water – and your garden hydrangea will reward you with its magnificent blooms. Every plant lover will be delighted by this beautiful eye-catcher.
