How to care for your oleander bush
The ease of care of your new oleander is surpassed only by its beauty. With proper care, it can reach a height of up to four meters. This Mediterranean plant thrives in a sunny, sheltered spot. Unlike many other plants, oleander loves hard water – it promotes growth and flowering. The soil should also be calcareous and predominantly mineral-based, with a high clay or loam content. Oleanders prefer moist soil. Always water them at ground level. A saucer can collect excess water so it can be reabsorbed. Oleanders can tolerate lower temperatures – down to -5°C for short periods. However, before it gets colder, you should move your flowering friend to its winter quarters. Feed your Nerium oleander bush once or twice a week during the flowering period with flowering or container plant fertilizer to support flower growth. Without a doubt, the oleander, with its colorful display of blossoms, is a gem that enriches any garden or balcony. Characteristics: Easy-care, undemanding container plant. Name: Nerium oleander
