How to care for your pampas grass
Your pampas grass 'Feather Quartet' is easy and rewarding to care for. It is hardy and prefers a sunny and, if possible, sheltered location. If growing it in a container, use potting soil specifically formulated for container plants and provide some winter protection. In winters with heavy snowfall, you can tie the stems together to protect the heart of the plant. If planted in a container, your pampas grass will appreciate good drainage. When planting in the ground, well-draining soil is best. But be careful: the plant has moderate water needs. Therefore, make sure that the soil doesn't become waterlogged! In spring, it's time to cut it back to about 15 cm (6 inches). Your pampas grass will then greatly benefit from a slow-release perennial fertilizer. And you can look forward to a flowering late summer and autumn with impressive pink and white plumes! Your pampas grass can be beautifully combined with heather, for example.
Enjoy this eye-catching plant with its abundant blooms in the garden and also look forward to an exceptional vase decoration indoors.
